Warwick Valley Rotary Club's Flags for Heroes deadline extended to Aug. 15

WARWICK — There is still time to be part of a tribute to the heroes in our lives, a member of the military, police, fire or other first responders or a teacher, coach, mentor, community leader or anyone else who has been a hero in your life.
With a donation of $50 you can honor your personal hero by sponsoring a three-foot by five-foot American flag, which will be displayed from Sunday, Aug. 26, to Saturday, Sept. 16, in the large field on the corner of County Route 1 and Route 94 by Chateau Hathorn.
The application and check for $50 made payable to the Warwick Valley Rotary Club can be given to any Warwick Valley Rotary Club member or mailed to: The Warwick Valley Rotary Club c/o Flags for Heroes, PO Box 121, Warwick NY 10990.
