WARWICK — The Warwick Valley High School Drama Club has announced the two productions in its 2017-2018 season:
This fall the Drama Club will present a revival of one of the funniest comedies they produced, "Dearly Departed."
Originally performed by the club in 2007, a new generation of Warwick residents will get to meet the hysterical Turpin family as they deal with the death of the family’s patriarch, Bud Turpin, and gather to plan his funeral.
"Dearly Departed "will be performed Nov. 2-4.
This spring brings a full-scale production of one of Disney’s most spectacular musicals, "Beauty and the Beast."
Featuring all of the animated film’s characters, rich score and spectacular sets and costumes, this production is sure to be a wonderful night of live theater for the entire family to enjoy.
"Beauty and the Beast" will be performed on March 16 and 17.
Both shows will be played in the Theater at Warwick Valley High School.
The productions will be directed by the club’s long-time director, Nick DiLeo, with Donna Nestor producing.
Joining them in the spring will be Chris Persad and Noreen Hanson as musical directors.
