Warwick Valley Gardeners present gardening related books to local libraries

Each year, the Warwick Valley Gardeners present a selection of new gardening related books to each of the three town libraries; the Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick and the Florida and Greenwood Lake Public Libraries.

This year, the donated books were presented to representatives of the libraries at the Gardeners July meeting.

Each library received two adult books, one children's book and a magazine subscription, all relating to gardening.

One of the books presented, for example, was "Designing Gardens with Flora of the American East," by Carolyn Summers. The author was also the guest speaker for that evening.

Funds for the library book donation are raised by the club through the Garden Tour, a raffle, and the upcoming Barn Sale scheduled for Sept. 21 and 22.
