— On Friday, Dec. 1, new members of the Board of Directors of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce assembled for their first meeting of the new term.
The meeting was held in the Greenbrier Room at Mount Alverno Center on the Warwick Campus of Bon Secours Charity Health System.
According to Michael Johndrow, executive director of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, it was an important meeting to update the organization's vision, introduce new officers and new board members, propose events and identify central issues.
"I'm alternatively excited and terrified because our past president Mechelle Casciotta has been so great," said John Redman, newly elected president of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce. "The support of Michael Johndrow and his staff makes all the difference."
The members of the board agreed to continue sponsoring major annual celebrations such as the annual Community Showcase, along with Applefest, a Taste of Warwick and Home for the Holidays. The chamber will also continue with its educational, networking and mixer events.
Johndrow took this opportunity to welcome the new members of the Board of Directors and the executive board.
Members of the chamber helped celebrate new business openings and other changes at ribbon-cuttings throughout the Warwick Valley.
"I would also like to express our appreciation," said Johndrow, "to the administrators of the Warwick Campus of the Bon Secours Charity Health System," he said, "for offering the Greenbrier Room at Mount Alverno Center for this meeting."
The Executive Committee Officers for this new term are President John Redman, 1st VP James Mezzetti, 2nd VP Wayne Patterson, Treasurer Mary McClurg, Secretary Kimberly Starks and Past President Mechelle Casciotta.
