Warwick Valley Car Service celebrates opening

WARWICK — On Friday, June 20, local officials and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Michael and Linda Punch for the grand opening of Warwick Valley Car Service LLC.

The company, based in the hamlet of Bellvale, opened its doors for business on April 8.

Owner and operator Michael J. Punch had worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 22 years. During this time, he said that after also working part-time in the car service business for 25 years, he always had a strong passion for starting his own car service. And after speaking to numerous business owners and residents in the Warwick community and gathering marketing feedback, he and his wife, Linda, realized that there was need for a car service business based here that offered local, long distance and airport service.

"It has always been a strong passion for me to operate and own a car service dedicated to providing extraordinary service at competitive rates for years," said Punch. "Few people get to follow their true passion in life. I have always wanted to start this business from a young age, and now my dream has come true. The feedback from the Warwick community has far exceeded my expectations."

In addition to airport service and the like, Warwick Valley Car Service also provides hourly packages for safe and reliable transportation to the local wineries on the Shawangunk Wine Trail.

"After speaking to various individuals in the immediate community and at the local wineries," said Punch, "I found that there was a huge need for providing a service where I could be the designated driver and allow customers to safely have a good time. I have some weekends already booked several months in advance."

Warwick Valley Car Service provides 24-hour airport service and local service between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
