WARWICK — The Warwick Town Republican Committee has announced its endorsements for the following candidates in this year's elections:

The committee unanimously endorsed Nan Hayworth in her 2014 run to return to the House of Representatives from the 19th congressional district.

The committee also selected Dan Castricone in his effort to become the Republican candidate for said Assembly in the 98th District.

Castricone outpolled his nearest opponent, Carl Brabanec of Port Jervis, by a 3-2 margin to earn the town Republican endorsement.

The committee unanimously endorsed Carl Dubois for re-election as Orange County Sheriff.

The committee also voted for and endorsed Christine Krahulik in her bid to become the next republican candidate in for the Office of Family Court Judge.

Krahulik outpolled her nearest opponent, Kevin Gomez, 44 to 6. The entire committee then unanimously voted to endorse Krahulik’s candidacy.

Republican committee men and women will meet May 21 at the countywide convention to finalize the GOP candidates for the general election in November.

“We are very happy with our selections for representing the party in the fall election and are confident that they will represent us moving forward,” town Republican Chairman Jan Jansen said in the committee's press release detailing the local endorsements. “We feel in Warwick that we have selected outstanding candidates that will serve us well in the immediate future and beyond. The future looks bright for Republicans in the county.”
