WARWICK — Warwick Valley High School graduates Lucas Paez, Anya Settle, Benjamin Pearce and Josh Tanis, along with New Jersey grad Kelly Fleming, celebrated their first book signing on Sunday, June 3, at Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe in Warwick.

The students each have entries in the nationally successful new book, “Now You Tell Me! 12 College Students Give the Best Advice They Never Got.”

Aimed at high school juniors and seniors as well as incoming college freshmen, the book gives practical and often funny advice to new college students from those who have recently been there.

How to handle roommates, survive boorish professors, find healthy eats, get a date and survive homesickness are all explored from differing points of view.

The book, published this May by Arundel Publishing, features insider advice from college students across the country, who are attending colleges ranging from large state schools, a military school, a small liberal arts college, a traditionally black university, Ivy League schools, a polytechnic university and everything in between. The book has been selling well in bookstores as well as online.

Orange County has more than its share of participants as both the series creator, Sheridan Scott, and one of the co-authors, Anya Settle, are from Warwick.

The college students are also making presentations and visiting area high schools to talk with upperclassmen about what to expect and how to get the most from their college years.

Other local students who will be making these visits include Imani Finn, Catherine Raleigh, Nicole Barron and Thomas Groneman.

Essential information The book is available wherever books are sold, and information about future school visits may be had by visiting ArundelPublishing.com or e-mailing Karen.Lee@ArundelPublishing.com
