Past District Governor Knut Johnsen, center, of the New Windsor-Cornwall Rotary Club, accepts two $500 donations from the Warwick Valley Rotary Club for international projects. One check is for the Orange County-based International Medical Relief Foundation, which collects surplus medical supplies and equipment for distribution to developing countries around the world. The other is for PolioPlus, Rotary’s combined effort with the UN World Health Organization and the Bill & Melissa Gates Foundation to rid the world of polio. Also shown are Warwick Rotary President Neil Sinclair, left, and Community Service Chair Stan Martin.
