Warwick Playground Dreams receives $15,000 grant from Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation

    — Warwick Playground Dreams has received a $15,000 Direct Effect Quality of Life grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
    The Quality of Life Grants Program support non-profit organizations that empower individuals living with paralysis.
    Warwick Playground Dreams will use the grant for the new wheelchair accessible merry-go-round and two of the ramps leading up to the main playground structure. These will be installed as part of the new playground build at Stanley-Deming park, taking place April 22-28, .
    "The vision of this non-profit organization, comprised solely of volunteers from the community, is to create a truly inclusive playground, ensuring that children of all ages and abilities are able to enjoy the crucial physical and emotional health benefits associated with outdoor play among their peers," Warwick Playground Dreams organizers said in the press release announcing the grant. "This contribution from the Reeve Foundation has played an important role in making the dream a reality."
    About the Reeve FoundationThe Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information, and advocacy.
