The following items are provided weekly by Supervisor Michael P. Sweeton:

For Town of Warwick information log on to www.townofwarwick.org.

    CodeRED

The Town has launched a new Emergency Alert System called CodeRED. There are three easy ways to sign up:

    1. Visit www.townofwarwick.org, and click the button in the CodeRED box.

    2. Register on your smartphone: Text “WARWICKALERT” to 99411.

    3. For citizens without internet access: Pick up a registration form from the Town Clerk’s Office, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    Christmas trees

Town residents can drop off their discarded Christmas trees on Public Works Drive, off of Kings Highway. Please place them on the pile on the right near the gate entrance to the Town Highway Department through Jan. 31.

    Recycling

Marangi started recycling service for the Town on January 1, 2023. You pay for this service on your Town Property tax bill each year. Pick up days remain the same as before. These bins are for acceptable recycle material only.

Transfer Stations are cracking down on garbage mixed in with recycle materials. Please ensure you only discard acceptable recycle materials in your new Marangi bin with the yellow tops.

For a full list of acceptable recycle materials visit our website at www.townofwarwick.org under Residents, Recycling. You will also be able to download the Recycle Coach app which is a tool to help you learn how to reduce your household waste and become a better recycler. The switch to the new recycle vendor has no effect on who you choose to pick up your garbage, and you are under no obligation to switch garbage companies.

County Waste has picked up most all of their recycle bins throughout the Town. If you have not placed your old County Waste bin at the curb, please do so now. These are the property of County Waste, and we want to ensure they get returned.
