Warwick Merchant Guild signs on with Zero G Deals

WARWICK — Stay in the loop with informative text messages from the Merchant Guild.

The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Merchant Guild recently signed on and embraced the concepts of Zero G Deals, a local based Loyalty and Mobile Marketing service provider.

Zero G Deals was founded by Warwick residents Vikki and Ken Garby to help clients engage and communicate with loyal customers via text messages offering exclusive deals being offered by businesses around Orange, Rockland, Sussex and Pike Counties.

Unlike individual businesses, however, the Warwick Merchant Guild consists of a group of local businesses that pool their efforts to organize special events throughout the year such as Winter Blues, Springfest, Bridal Trail, Home for the Holidays and so forth.

How it works Now, anyone with a cell phone can simply text to 65828 as they would to any number.

Then enter WARWICK as the message and they will receive a maximum of four messages per month from the Merchant Guild on all upcoming events and “Insider Only” deals and promotions.

There’s no charge and you can opt out at any time by replying, “STOP,” or “QUIT,” to no longer receive messages.

“Zero G Deals is very excited to welcome the Warwick Merchant Guild to our family,” said Vikki Garby. “There is no better way to stay in the loop and know what is happening in our beautiful town than to receive a quick text right to your phone. No one has to ever miss a Warwick event again.”

Electronic kiosk The newest Zero G Deals’ tool is the Loyalty Kiosk, an android or touch-screen tablet which records customer check-ins so they can earn rewards for repeat visits at a particular business. An electronic kiosk, where visitors can enter their cell numbers to receive Merchant Guild messages about upcoming events, is also available at the Chamber’s Caboose office on South Street and at Etched in Time Engraving, 58 Main St.

“This is a great tool for people to receive information about Warwick directly via text,” said Nicole Repose, co-chair of the Merchant Guild. “Tourists who visit find a lot of value in getting direct updates on all our events.”

Michael Johndrow, executive director of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce. Plans to invite people to sign in on an electronic kiosk when they visit Warwick in order to receive Merchant Guild text messages about future events.

“We might get as many as 5,000 to sign in at Applefest,” he said.
