Warwick Masons donate $1,000 to Back Pack Snack Attack program

WARWICK — Warwick Masonic Lodge #544 presented a check for $1,000 to the Back Pack Snack Attack program at a recent Warwick Town Hall Meeting.

The Back Pack Snack Attack program started at the Warwick Reformed Church in 2009, feeding school children on weekends. Initially, the program provided for about 118 children each week. This year, the number has jumped to an average of 300 children a week.

Total costs for this program are about $80,000 per year.

Warwick Masonic Lodge #544 will host its annual Lobster Bake fund raiser the Sunday, June 9, Sunday in June. Proceeds from the Lobster Bake will go to local programs in Warwick.
