Warwick man charged with repeatedly raping child

WARWICK — State police arrested a Warwick man on Tuesday, charging him with repeatedly raping a child.
Police arrested Douglas Castro, 64, of Warwick, after a joint investigation with Orange County Child Protective Services into allegations that a victim less than 11 years old at the time was raped multiple times over the course of a year.
Castro is charged with one count of predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony.
He was arraigned in the Town of Warwick Court by Judge Peter Bartlet and sent to Orange County Jail without bail or bond.
Predatory sexual assault against a child is an A-II felony with a minimum sentence of 10-25 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
