Dream Donuts, located across from Stanley-Deming Park at 72 South St. in the Village of Warwick, is described as a new business that offers a fun atmosphere while satisfying your sweet tooth.
On Friday, Aug. 6, Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owners Kyle and Andrea Cosmillo, their staff, family members and friends to celebrate the grand opening of Dream Donuts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The owners, who are Warwick residents, reported that they always wanted to open up a business together.
Andrea Cosmillo, a former Grade 7 math and science teacher, had also worked as an office manager for an optometrist. Her husband Kyle had worked in the auto body industry in positions ranging from service writer to collision writer.
“We started with asking ourselves what doesn’t Warwick have,” said Andrea Cosmillo. “It is such an amazing town and we wanted to find a way to open a business that would compliment its unique charm.”
The couple then reached out to their realtor, June Cosgrove-Hays, and she gave them what they believe was the best piece of advice that they would ever receive. She suggested they open a donut shop.
Dream Donuts offers fried, mini-cake donuts in fun, different ways.
Customers can choose flavors from the grab-and-go display case to be boxed up, or they can watch their donuts be made right in front of them in the countertop mini-donut machine. The Made-to-Order minis are then drizzled and topped with suggested flavor combinations and served in a tray.
For those who would like to use their imagination, customers may also create their own flavor by choosing from the toppings bar.
And specialty flavor boxes are also available for online pre-order, in addition to custom orders for all events. Coffee, tea, beverages and other sweet treats are also available
