Warwick Chamber to host winter mixer at Alteva, formerly known as WVT Commnications

WARWICK — The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a winter after-hours business mixer from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28.

The evening of refreshments and networking will be held at Alteva, formerly known as WVT Communications or more commonly, The Warwick Valley Telephone Company.

The Alteva Warwick office is at 47 Main St.

Guests will have an opportunity to tour the corridors of the telecommunications-based business while sampling hors d’oeuvres, sipping wine, and enjoying fellowship with business professionals and friends of the chamber.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to win a few special prizes from Alteva, including a 32-inch HD flat screen television.

“Warwick Valley Telephone Company is now called Alteva,” said Marketing Director Jean Beattie. “And Alteva is committed to providing our business and residential customers with the most reliable and highest quality voice, television and Internet services on the market today and our best-in-class customer service will continue to support their needs.”

Nearly 110 years of local service

Warwick Valley Telephone has been the area’s leading local phone service provider for almost 111 years. The company, in its long history since party-line service in the early 1900s, has progressed from simply a local phone service provider to a high-speed Internet provider, a company of leading cloud communications, and a voice, broadband, video and wireless provider serving consumers and businesses in the tri-state region.

All of the Company’s previous business units now do business as Alteva.
