Warwick Chamber to host summer mixer next week at Applewood Winery

WARWICK — The picturesque grounds of Applewood Orchards and Winery, 82 Four Corners Road, will be the site of an after-hours "Summer Wine Mixer" next Thursday, June 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
This event, sponsored by the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, will offer guests an opportunity to sample some of Applewood's wines while also sampling complimentary hors d'oeuvres and enjoying live music by Steve Wells.
In addition to its beautiful gardens, Applewood, one of the oldest working farms in the historic Hudson Valley, offers visitors spectacular views of the surrounding area below.
"Pack plenty of business cards, wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared to meet, greet and socialize with business professionals in a casual summer setting," said Event Chair Janine Dethmers.
For anyone new to the community, the entrance to Applewood is mid-way between Kings Highway and East Ridge/Ridge Roads.
Applewood Winery is open through December, Wednesday through Sunday with live music - check for seasonal hours.
In following a Hudson Valley tradition of wine making since Revolutionary War times, Applewood has pioneered the planting of Vinifera grape varieties. Their wines are made on premise from their own vineyards, orchards and from across the state. Their Naked Flock Hard Ciders available in Original, made with local honey: Draft, made with Belgian Ale yeasts and Citra Cider made with a Citra Hops and a minimum of six small batch ciders are on tap every weekend.
These are also available throughout New York State and New Jersey in bars, restaurants and retail shops. The ever-popular Pumpkin Cider, made with fresh roasted sugar will be available in the fall.
Applewood Winery will be hosting the 21st Annual Bounty of the Hudson - a Shawangunk Wine Trail Event on July 30 and July 31.
Everyone is invited to join chamber members for this unique social event.
Cost is $10 for members and their guests, $20 for general admission.
