Students enrolled in Kim Olsen Scotto's Art & Soul Jr. Entrepreneur program, now being offered at Park Avenue, Sanfordville and St. Stephen's Elementary School, recently raised $928 selling their art and crafts to the public.
And all proceeds from their sales were donated to the Warwick Valley Community Center.
The children work together from start to finish as a team on projects ranging from designing business cards and building their art inventory, to creating and selling their completed crafts to the public.
In this program, which now includes Grade 2-4, children learn confidence, skills building through sales, life skills through money exchange and most importantly compassion by giving back to their community.
This summer Art-n-Soul will be running an Animal Collage Summer Camp, July 22 to 25, and "A getting your pictures out of your phone and into a creative keepsake art book" program from Aug. 12 to 15.
Registration is open. For information call 656-0346, email: ArtnSoulLife@gmail.com or visit www.artnsoulstudio.com
