WARWICK — The Warwick Ambulance Junior Corps members will be out in full force this holiday season.
• Their first big event is the “Stuff the Bus” Food Drive. This will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Warwick ShopRite and Florida QuickChek. Their goal is to stuff the ambulance and the bus with non-perishables to supply both the Warwick and Florida Food Pantries.
This will be the junior corps' fourth year of doing Stuff the Bus.
Prior years have been a huge success at both locations, bringing in $1,000 worth of items for both food pantries.
• The second event the Warwick Ambulance Junior Corps members are volunteering in is "Wreaths Across America" program.
Through donations the kids received at Applefest in Warwick, they decided to give back and honor local veterans. The $300 was donated to purchase wreaths (one for each member).
The ceremony and wreath-laying at grave sites of veterans will take place on Dec. 15 at noon at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery on Craigsville Road in the Town of Goshen.
