Walden Savings Bank celebrates fifth anniversary of Village of Florida branch office

FLORIDA — Walden Savings Bank, established in 1872, is a federal chartered mutual savings bank headquartered in Montgomery.
With 11 full-service branches serving Orange and Ulster Counties, the financial institution's community banking provides products that cater to both the individual and the growing mid-size business.
On Friday evening, Nov. 6, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Florida Mayor James Pawliczek and members of the Florida and Warwick chambers of commerce were among other officials and dignitaries who joined Walden executives, their staff and clients to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Florida branch office.
'To thank the Florida community'
In honor of the anniversary, the bank awarded a $500 contribution to four non-profit organizations: The Florida Food Pantry, Polish Legion of American Veterans, The Animals Rights Alliance and the Florida Volunteer Fire Department.
"We wanted to thank the Florida community for their continued trust and support," said President and CEO Derrik Wynkoop. "Giving back to the organizations who make a difference in this community every day was a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary and show our appreciation."
'Investing in the people who live and work'
The 3,500-square-foot bank at 95 North Main St. features a drive-up automated teller machine, a three-lane drive-through, six teller windows and several customer service and management offices. The branch is also equipped to handle all personal and business banking needs including checking, savings, lending and online banking products and services.
In addition, Walden Investment Services, located at Walden Savings Bank, offers personalized advice for financial planning.
"We recognized a need in this community and we invested in the people that live and work here," said Chairman of the Board Jeffrey D. Crist. "Five years later, we celebrate our success together and thank them for their support."
