Vincent Copello named Jewish Family Service Volunteer of the Year

— Vincent Copello has been was recognized as “Volunteer of the Year” by Jewish Family Service of Orange County for his work with the Town of Warwick Friendly Visitor Program.
The program reads:
“Vincent Copello of the Town of Warwick has volunteered tirelessly over the past year in the role of chairperson for the Town of Warwick Friendly Visitor Program Advisory Council.
"It was through his determination, countless hours, meetings and ongoing efforts that this program recently came to fruition.
"Older adults and adults with disabilities, throughout the Warwick will now have access to more services
"In his volunteer capacity, Vince has worn many other hats. He was past president of Senior Group in the Town of Warwick, past member of the Senior Council of Orange County, past member of the Advisory Board for Orange County’s Office for the Aging, past chairperson of Orange County’s Office of the Aging, a member of focus groups for ShopRite of Warwick and he promoted Wednesday’s 5 percent senior discount and refreshments of coffee and cake at both Warwick ShopRite and Price Chopper.
"Jewish Family Service and our partners at the Town of Warwick Friendly Visitor Program are honored to have Vince as a driving force on our collective team.”
About the programThe Warwick Friendly Visitor Program will link trained volunteers to seniors and people with disabilities in need for those in the Town and Village of Warwick, Village of Greenwood Lake, Village of Florida and the hamlet of Pine Island. The volunteers will provide transportation to local appointments, help with grocery shopping, home visits, clerical assistance and chatting on the phone.
There is no charge for these services.
The program is made possible through a partnership with Jewish Family Service of Orange County and Orange County Office for the Aging.
