| 02 May 2012 | 11:30

WARWICK The Village of Warwick is recruiting volunteers to help plant 500 trees and shrubs along the banks of the Wawayanda on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park.
Wear long sleeves and pants and bring work gloves and a shovel.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservations Hudson Estuary Trees for Tribs initiative provides free native trees and shrubs to replant the streams of the Hudson Valley. These trees will help protect water quality, fish and wildlife and will also reduce erosion and flooding.
If you are interested in volunteering, call Village Hall at 986-2031.
