Village of Warwick announces change in water bill notices

WARWICK — Effective Nov. 1, the Village of Warwick will be reducing the number of water bill late notices that residents receive via mail.
Only the initial water bill and a 60-day past due final/shut off notice will be mailed, followed by a shut off door knocker placed at the residence if the bill remains unpaid.
The late penalty schedule remains as follows:
• 30 days past initial bill date: 5 percent
• 60 days past initial bill date: Additional 3 percent
• 85 days past initial bill date: Subject to water shut off.
