Valley Bible Church now holding services at Park Ave. School

WARWICK — Valley Bible Church has a new home.
Since March 3, members of the church have been meeting for Sunday services at Park Avenue Elementary School in the Village of Warwick.
This past February the congregation celebrated its final worship service to be held at the former Bellvale United Methodist Church in the hamlet of Bellvale.
The church had been sharing the historic building for its services since 1998. And when the Bellvale United Methodist Church closed early last year, Valley Bible Church continued to hold services in the facility until the building was sold. It will be turned into a private residence.
“We at Valley Bible Church,” said Pastor Jeff Quinn, “are very excited about this next chapter in our church’s history. I am quite pleased to be meeting at Park Ave. Elementary School for Sunday services, and I am very appreciative to the school district, particularly to Dr. Ray Bryant, Mr. Tim Holmes, and Mr. Steve Salvato for working with us to make this possible.”
Valley Bible Church had its beginnings in 1985 with bible study in a private home. A year later it officially became The Warwick Valley Evangelical Free Church, holding services for a year in the Clocktower building on Main Street. Services were later held in the Baptist Church building on West Street and in 2007, while at the Bellvale Methodist Church, it was renamed Valley Bible Church.
The long-term goal of the church is to build its own facility.
Church services at Park Avenue Elementary School are held on Sundays at 11 a.m. All are welcome.
The Valley Bible Church also offers bible studies, youth ministries and on-line sermons.
