Tuxedo will host open house Nov. 14 for its high school and STEM Academy

TUXEDO — The George F. Baker High School and STEM Academy will hold an open house on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
"During this open house prospective students and parents can tour school facilities and meet the faculty, administration, staff, and students that make George F. Baker High School’s programs so successful," High School Principal Denis M. Petrilak said in his press release announcing the event. "Visitors will also get to pick from several presentations about the school’s various academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs, including the new exciting George F. Baker STEM Academy, and ask questions of our students and staff."
(STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Math.)
George F. Baker High School has been recognized nationally by U.S. News and World Reports, Newsweek and The Daily Beast for its academic programs.
"With a student to teacher ratio of less than 10:1 and an extracurricular activity participation rate of approximately 80 percent, GFB provides incredible access to teachers and programs for all students," Petrilak added.
