Trunk or Treat this Saturday at noon

WARWICK — As a result of Hurricane Sandy, last year's traditional Halloween Parade down Main Street was canceled.
A few days later, however, the spirit of Halloween was alive and well as ghosts, goblins, witches and an assortment of movie, cartoon and even more creative characters assembled in the Warwick Middle School parking lot for a new event, "Trunk or Treat."
This year the traditional Halloween Parade returned to Main Street.
But the 2012 substitute event was so popular that a second annual "Trunk or Treat" will be held this Saturday, Nov. 2.
Set-up will take place at the Warwick High School parking lot, 89 Sanfordville Road, from 11:15 to noon.
This year's event will feature DJ music and treats courtesy of ShopRite along with a costume contest at 12:30 p.m.
"Trunk or Treat" is sponsored by the Village of Warwick and the Warwick Lions Club.
