Troop F continues to investigate open 1987 homicide case in Orange County

PINE ISLAND — State Police continue to investigate the 1981 disappearance of 20-year-old Dawn Marie Marino in Pine Island.
On May 16, 1981, Marino was last seen standing in the parking lot of the Corner Tavern Bar located near the intersection of Liberty Corners Road and County Route 1 in Pine Island.
On Oct. 31, 1987, her remains were found on property located on Little York Road in the Town of Warwick. The remains were found approximately five miles from where the young beautician was last seen alive.
Since then, hundreds of leads have been investigated and interviews have been conducted. In a press release issued this week, State Police said the case remains unsolved and under investigation.
