FLORIDA — The Golden Hill Elementary School’s TREP$ marketplace will be open for business this Saturday, May 4, from 3 to 5 p.m.
TREP$, short for entrepreneurs, is a six-week after-school program for fourth- and fifth-graders designed to teach them how to be entrepreneurs, from creating their product, to building a business plan to marketing and selling their crafts.
Among the innovative products are birdhouses, jewelry, caps and hats, masks, soaps, hair accessories, puzzles, custom tie-dye shoelaces, dog treats, pens, pencils, candy and other sweet treats, as well as lots of homemade crafts. Many items are appropriate as Mother’s Day gifts.
Golden Hill Elementary is located at 478 Round Hill Road in the Village of Florida.
Admission is free.
