Tickets available for Land Trust benefit

SUGAR LOAF — Tickets are still available for the Orange County Land Trust 2014 Benefit Reception – Conserving the Lands We All Love….In Our Own Backyard set for Friday, June 6 at the Falkirk Estate and Country Club. This year’s event will feature a live auction of a 10-day trip for two to Patagonia, a journey with Earth River Adventures along the Rio Futalafu, as well as naming rights to a trail!
Conserving the Lands we all Love….in Our Own Backyard celebrates the acquisition and launch of the Jack and Louise Birnberg Preserve, a 186-acre nature preserve located along Orange County’s Heritage Trail in the towns of Chester and Blooming Grove. One lucky bidder will be granted naming rights to one of the trails on the preserve, a great way to honor or memorialize a loved one!
Chairing the event are land trust supporter Jenna Berman Field of Warwick and Orange County Land Trust Board Member Douglas Land of Cornwall-on-Hudson. Guests will enjoy cocktail style dining, with an elaborate array of hors d’oeuvres and food stations, wine and cocktails making the evening a wonderful celebration of land conservation. The live auction will be conducted by auctioneer Susan Hawvermale and, in addition to the trip to Patagonia and trail naming rights, will feature a case of fine wines valued at $2,500. Also planned is a silent auction with items ranging from unique experiences to local food and art. Music will be provided by jazz guitarist Mike Jackson.
Tickets are $150 each and can be purchased online or by calling the land trust at 845-469-0951, x12.
