The Warwick Winter Farmers’ Market re-opens for the winter season on Dec. 2




PINE ISLAND — The Warwick Winter Farmers’ Market will officially open the 2018/19 season on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 115 Liberty Corners Road, Pine Island.
This weekly indoor farmers’ market offers convenient parking and accessibility, promising a market that provides easy navigation for shoppers and vendors.
The Warwick Winter Farmers’ Market welcomes more than one dozen farmers, producers and artisans to kick-off the indoor season.
The market has grown since the Winter 2017/18 season and will welcome a rotation of 15 vendors offering locally and regionally grown, raised and produced foods, beverages and body care items including:
• Vegetables and fruit
• Beef, pork, lamb and chicken
• Dairy including milk, eggs, cheese and yogurt
• Bread and baked goods
• Honey, syrup, jams and jelly
• Prepared foods
• Pickles
• Wine and distilled spirits (once/month)
• Body care products
• Dog treats
“Our mission is to hold a weekly winter farmers’ market to keep our community and our economy healthy,” said Peg Hillery, Warwick Winter Farmers’ Market organizer and owner of Peg’s Eggs and Honey.
Co-organizer Jack Hillery of Hillery Farms added: “We want to continue making fresh and nutritious food available to regular marker-goers the remainder of the year at the Warwick Winter Farmers' Market, creating an off-season outlet for farmers and producers to remain sustainable throughout the winter."
The Warwick Winter Farmers’ Market welcomes cash and checks; individual vendors will accept debit and credit card transactions.
Open every Sunday through May 5, 2019 (closed on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019).
Market hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
