TUXEDO PARK — The annual tradition of welcoming community helpers to a Tuxedo Park School luncheon with the Primary School was a huge success as three dozen local heroes regaled wide-eyed students with stories from the Tuxedo Fire Department, Police Department, Ambulance Corps, Post Office, Department of Public Works, Village Office and the Suffern Soup Kitchen.
Children tried on handcuffs, walkie-talkies, badge-laden caps and other gadgets.
Many veteran attendees of the event said this is the highlight of their year; it was clear that the students felt the same.
