The Ruby Group’s Peter Berman named to Leadership Orange Hall Of Fame
GOSHEN — Peter Berman, CEO of The Ruby Group, was inducted into the Inaugural Leadership Orange Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held as part of Leadership Orange’s 20th Anniversary celebration on Thursday, April 11.
Peter Berman has over 12 years of experience in the Construction, Development, and Inspection industries. As a third-generation builder and project manager, he grew up in and around the construction industry. He was nominated by the 2008 Leadership Orange Class as their representative for the Hall of Fame.
“I’m honored to recognized by my peers,” Berman said. “We strive as community leaders to embody the spirit and values of Leadership Orange. It is important that we pass those principles on to future generations of leadership within the County.”
Berman is on the faculty of the New York Real Estate Institute where he conducts seminars and lectures. He is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors, National Association of Home Builders, and the Builder’s Association of the Hudson Valley where he is on the Board of Directors and a member of the Government affairs committee. Berman holds the designation of Certified Graduate Builder, from the NAHB. He is also a Faculty Member of the NAHB University of Housing, where he teaches courses related to Business Management.
Berman graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Public Affairs. He received the “Rising Star Award” from the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, The Junior League of Orange County. In addition, Berman is a published author with multiple articles addressing industry related topics.
Leadership Orange participants receive 10 months of training on topics important to local residents and businesses. The non-profit, non-partisan organization began its work in 1993, and has an alumni base over 500.
