The news for Halloween in Warwick

Halloween curfew and road closuresWARWICK — The Town of Warwick will once again impose a Halloween curfew against congregating and loitering by those 18 years of age and younger to begin at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and from 8: p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, to 6 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1.
This is done in conjunction with the Village of Warwick to ensure younger kids can enjoy Halloween and neighborhoods, hopefully, can remain free of mischief.
Meanwhile, the Village of Warwick will once again close off Oakland Court, Welling Avenue and Orchard Street west of Elm Street on Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Halloween costume paradeWARWICK — The Village of Warwick Recreation Department and the Warwick Lions Club will be hosting a spooktacular Halloween Costume Parade on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Line-up will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Church Street.
The parade will start at 5 p.m. and proceed down Main Street to Railroad Green where Halloween treats will be handed out.
A costume contest will take place on Railroad Green with prizes. This year’s contest will include the following categories:
• Most original;
• Scariest;
• Cutest; and
• Most Warwick pride.
The contest will be divided into the following age groups:
• Up to five years old;
• 6-9;
• 10-14; and
• Adult and family ensemble.
Refreshments are sponsored by ShopRite of Warwick.
Trick or treat at Camp WarwickWARWICK — On Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treat through the cabins at Camp Warwick where Camp Warwick staff will fill the rooms with family-friendly Halloween activities.
Come in costume and join the fun in a non-scary environment.
