PINE ISLAND — The Hope Chest Boutique, which supports the Clothing Closet clothing bank run by Vision Community Church, will hold its annual "Holly & Ivy Super Sale" on Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the former Pine Island Elementary School at 20 Schoolhouse Road.

The sale will feature free gift wrapping and crafts to occupy the kids while their parents.

To date, the Clothing Closet has given away more than $75,000 worth of clothing, coats and shoes to Orange County residents in need.

Local businesses have been quick to help out and last year, the Warwick Valley High School collected hundreds of pairs of gently used shoes. Residents of Warwick Grove also donated many still-wearable coats.

At the end of the season, the Goshen Middle School donated unclaimed clothing from its lost and found and Woodbury Common Premium Outlets routinely donates many bags of brand new designer items with tags.

The Hope Chest features gently used and new designer and upscale clothing for minimal prices, all of which goes to support the Clothing Closet and other ministries of Vision Community Church, such as the monthly community kitchen.

This year, the Hope Chest has added a new home goods room.

Donations of coats, clothing, and home goods are always gratefully accepted and volunteers are needed.
