The Generals Garden Center and Plant Market expands to Route 94
WARWICK The Generals Garden at Technigrowers, is expanding its retail location.
The garden center and plant market that has been situated on Sanfordville Road for 30 years is now expanding to a new location on Route 94 with a grand re-opening taking place on Sunday, April 1.
Starting on April 1, retail customers will now drive up to the new pole barn – the yellow building at 172 Route 94 South - just around the corner from the old red barn.
Technigrowers greenhouses, which remain on Sanfordville Road, are normally closed to the retail customer, but the traditional Mothers Day Open House will once again open up the greenhouses to those members of the public who look forward to that spring preview.
Were the same people and were offering the same great product – but our space will look different, said owner Deborah Sweeton, whose father Dr. Paul King first opened Technigrowers greenhouses in 1977. Were looking forward to more retail space and being able to offer a wider variety of gardening supplies and plants. The larger space will also be able to accommodate the workshops and seminars that are sure to follow in the coming months.
The garden center provides the largest assortment of annuals, perennials, and indoor plants cultivated on site in the two acres of greenhouses using the latest green initiatives. It also features a large selection of trees and shrubs, seeds and bulbs, as well as hard goods like hand tools, pots of every type and size, bird baths, shoes and gloves, fertilizers and pest control – something for virtually every gardening need.
The grand re-opening celebration will begin at 10 a.m. and will include free gifts, opening day discounts and a drawing for a $100 gift certificate.
