WARWICK — It's an important anniversary for any business.
On Thursday, May 24, Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owner Amy Fritzky, her mother and grandmother, to celebrate the store's first anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Bungalow, located on the Carriage Path between Main Street and the South Street parking lot in the Village of Warwick, is described as a chic home and gift boutique inspired by Bohemian and bungalow living.
"Owning a small business today is not an easy task," said Fritzky, "but I am very lucky to own a small business in a town like Warwick. It's always fun to be in Warwick, any season, any day of the week."
She explained that the sense of community and love for small business in the village is nothing short of incredible.
"It's been a whirlwind of a year," said Fritzky, "and we've learned, we've grown and we've found our niche. It has been so much fun getting to know all of our awesome customers; locals and out-of-towners alike! I am very thankful and grateful for everyone who has supported my little Bungalow. And I'd like to extend thanks to my mom, my mentor in business, my nana for the inspiration, my husband for unwavering support in this venture and Jamie, my right-hand lady who loves the little Bungalow as much as I do."
