SUNY Orange Transfer Fair to feature nearly 70 colleges

MIDDLETOWN — Nearly 70 different colleges and universities will be represented when SUNY Orange conducts its annual Fall Transfer Fair, slated for Wednesday, Nov. 6, on the college’s Middletown campus and Thursday, Nov. 7, on the Newburgh campus.
Colleges from throughout the state of New York, as well as the tri-state area and portions of New England, will have representatives on hand from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days to discuss the transfer options available to SUNY Orange students and members of the community.
Representatives from 57 colleges and universities will be in the Shepard Student Center Fireplace Lounge on Wednesday with 40 set to attend the Newburgh event in the Great Room of Kaplan Hall on Thursday. Some of the colleges have donated prizes that will be distributed as part of a prize drawing for those who attend the events.
To assure that its students enjoy smooth transition to four-year colleges and universities, and to establish a foundation for continued academic achievement, SUNY Orange maintains articulation (transfer) agreements with many academic institutions.
Such comprehensive agreements range from identifying selected courses that will transfer to outlining entire SUNY Orange degree programs that will allow graduates to enter four-year colleges or universities with full junior status.
