SUNY Orange hosts student art and architectural design exhibits





MIDDLETOWN — Students in the SUNY Orange Architectural Technology program have installed a not-to-be-missed exhibit in Orange Hall Gallery Fringe, the area along the back wall of the gallery.
Entitled "Systems and Space III," the exhibit includes nearly 200 drawings and models of abstract architectural compositions, building designs and urban proposals.
The architecture display is being shown through May 5, concurrently with the annual SUNY Orange Art students’ exhibit of more than 350 artworks which is in Orange Hall Gallery and Loft.
The art show, Collaborations, is comprised of a broad variety of paintings in acrylic and pastels; drawings in pencil, charcoal, and conte; digital and traditional photographs; computer graphics; media collages; and three-dimensional recycled materials projects.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.
The exhibits are free and open to the public.
