WARWICK — With the exception of an occasional shower on Friday evening, the Warwick Volunteer Fire Department enjoyed excellent weather for its 2017 annual summer carnival at Veterans' Memorial Park.
The event began Wednesday, June 21, and concluded on Saturday evening, June 24, when the crowds showed up in droves on a beautiful summer evening for the exciting rides and a spectacular fireworks display.
Like the recent biennial parade, this year's carnival honored the late Jeff Schadt, who had served as president of the Warwick Fire Department.
