Stein and Slaughter look to clean up on the radio

WARWICK ­— Nicole Stein and Gloria Slaughter named their new program, which airs on Warwick Radio WTBQ (1110 AM/93.5 FM),”Two Mops Live,” after their house-cleaning business,”2 Mops Cleaning Service.”

But on Mondays at 11:30 a.m., the show is not always just about cleaning.

Stein and Slaughter are likely to pick any lifestyle issue to discuss in a fun way and with such a great sense of humor that it has studio staff and listeners laughing along with them for 30 minutes.

In their inaugural show, broadcast on March 12, the discussion, for example, was about stealing in general and how commonplace it has become.

The following week the hosts did talk about house cleaning and the benefits of imitating the big corporations by outsourcing that chore to make better use of limited time for juggling family, career and home.

“We’re coming clean,” quipped Slaughter. “We know you don’t want anyone to know your house is dirty. But that’s why we’re here. Don’t be like some people who clean before we arrive.”

Stein and Slaughter, longtime friends and Warwick residents, opened “2 Mops Cleaning Service” this past January.

“We felt there was no better place to start and grow our business than right here in our hometown,” said Stein. “Our goal was to create a cleaning company based on honesty, integrity, trust and 100 per cent customer satisfaction and we did just that.

“Drawing on life experiences, past business adventures mixed with experience in the cleaning field,” she added, “we decided to join together and create a company with the home or business owner in mind.”

Stein explained that they offer a free in-home or office consultation that helps them understand expectations and uncovering special house cleaning instructions, frequency of cleanings and whether green cleaning services are right for you.

“Two Mops Live,” said WTBQ Marketing and Sales Director Souzie Miller, “is a delightfully funny and refreshing addition to our program line-up. It is another local Warwick program which we, at WTBQ, are proud to bring to our listeners.”
