State lawmakers announce restoration of Extreme Winter Recovery funds ALBANY. Did you know that New York State sets the price to repair a pothole at $162.23?

Democrats in the state Senate as well as Republicans in the Assembly who represent the area have announced the restoration of state Extreme Winter Recovery Funds, which had been “zeroed out” from this year’s state budget in March.
This critical funding is used to assist counties, towns and villages regionally and throughout New York to maintain and repair local roads and bridges.
The funding is based upon the estimated number of potholes Extreme Winter Recovery fund for would cover at $162.23 per pothole.

• Town of Goshen - $26,989.72

• Village of Chester - $8,852.19
• Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson - $17,665.27
• Village of Florida - $6,931.54
• Village of Goshen - $17,528.93
• Village of Greenwood Lake - $17,519.07
• Village of Harriman - $4,338.72
• Village of Kiryas Joel - $2,827.42
• Village of Monroe - $20,717.09
• Village of South Blooming Grove - $4,988.18

State Senators James Skoufis (D-Woodbury) and Jen Metzger (D-Rosendale) and Assemblymen Karl A. Brabenec (R-Deerparl) and Colin Schmitt (R-New Windsor) made the announcements.
