State Assembly honors Chateau Hathorn owner Dolph Zueger

WARWICK — Members of the New York State Assembly recently passed a resolution proclaiming August as Swiss-American Heritage Month.
The resolution recognized Warwick resident and world-renowned Swiss-American chef Dolph Zueger, owner of the Chateau Hathorn Restaurant at 33 Hathorn Road.
On Sunday, Aug. 16, Assemblyman Karl Brabenec joined local officials at a small gathering at the restaurant and presented a copy of the resolution to Zueger.
The Chateau's Old World charm and five-star rating for its continental cuisine can be traced to owners Dolph and Helene Zueger, both natives of Switzerland.
Dolph Zueger, who once cooked for the actress Sophia Loren, was educated in the finest culinary schools in Europe. And he is not only an artist in the kitchen; Zueger is also a talented gardener, carpenter and builder.
