St. Peter Lutheran Church hosts 'Shipwrecked VBS' Day Camp Aug. 13–17
WARWICK — St. Peter Lutheran Church invites children ages 5-12 to its free bible summer camp, “Shipwrecked VBS: Rescued by Jesus," from Aug. 13 through Aug. 17.
Pastor Tim Anderson said the theme this year “teaches us that when life seems like it’s crashing out of control, God is still with you and that time and again Jesus rescues us. Each day our theme will remind us that even when were lonely, or when were afraid, or when we struggle, or when we do wrong or even when we even feel powerless… Jesus is there, and Jesus rescues us by participating in memorable Bible-learning adventures, singing catchy songs, playing teamwork-building games, making and devouring yummy treats, and making and collecting fun crafts to take home."
Each day kids will gather at 9 a.m. at the church, located at 70 Little York Road in Warwick, and will spend the morning having fun and be done by noon.
"If you know of any children that would be interested in attending our Vacation Bible School please send them our way," the pastor added. "We promise that it will be a time spent in fun and faith. We are also still looking for adult and teen volunteers.
