He came into the world at 7:36 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 thus earning the honor of being the first baby born in 2020 at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick.

Warren III, born to Erica and Warren Patafio of Warwick, NY, weighed 7-lbs. 14 oz. and measured 19 inches long.

Obstetrician James Brockunier, MD. was the attending physician assisted by nurses Merrely Dickinson, RN, and Louri Greenberg, RN, in the award-winning Kennedy Birthing Center, a state-of-the-art maternity unit.

“Everyone here was wonderful,” said Erica Patafio. “I love this facility and the nurses, doctors and staff were all very helpful. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.”

The Kennedy Birthing Center was built to cater to family needs, providing homelike surroundings for a more natural labor, delivery and recovery, all in one location, during a complication-free birth process. The center also provides a C-Section Suite, a large, cheerful nursery and several gynecological rooms.
