WARWICK — On Tuesday evening, Dec. 3, St. Anthony Community Hospital hosted a tree lighting ceremony to celebrate the start of the Christmas season with members of the community and staff.

It was a truly joyous celebration with holiday music and song by guitarist Al Eubanks. After a welcoming address by Senior Vice President and Administrator for St. Anthony Community Hospital Jeff Reilly ,everyone headed outside for a tree lighting ceremony that began with invocations and blessings of the tree by Director of Pastoral Care Suzanne Evanoff and Chaplain Sister Mary Spano.

All those in attendance sang “Silent Night” followed by a countdown and tree lighting.

After singing other traditional Christmas songs, everyone was invited back inside the hospital’s main lobby to enjoy a reception and refreshments featuring cookies, hot chocolate and apple cider.

The ceremony and music was broadcast live by Warwick Radio WTBQ (AM 1110/FM 93.5).
