ShopRite of Warwick to debut newly remodeled store on Saturday, Oct. 7

WARWICK — ShopRite of Warwick recently received an extensive renovation, with new amenities including a prepared foods department with an in-store grill, floral department, expanded ShopRite from Home program and Mobile Scan feature.
The store will host a grand re-opening on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m.
ShopRite is also committed to giving back to the communities its stores serve and will make a donation to The Amity Foundation for Healing with Horses, a nonprofit that specializes in the healing and therapeutic power of horses to help those who suffer from the psychological, emotional and relational effects of trauma, including veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Visitors to the store will find a better-designed supermarket for easier navigation, a larger selection of organic and gluten-free products across all store aisles and added space for ShopRite from Home customers, with the department more than doubling in size.
As part of the renovation, the store also received energy-saving and sustainable technologies in refrigeration and lighting, including glass doors on the dairy and freezer cases, LED lighting throughout the store and its parking lot and an improved refrigeration system to maximize energy efficiency.
“We love being a part of the Warwick community, and are constantly looking for ways to improve the shopping experience for our customers,” said Brett Wing, president, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc., owner and operator of 34 stores throughout New York and New Jersey. “We believe the new renovations combined with expanded product and services areas will better meet the needs of our customers, and appreciate the patience of our shoppers and associates as we underwent these changes.”
Renovation highlights include:
• A fresh floral selection for every season
ShopRite of Warwick now includes a new department serving customers’ floral needs, including a wide selection of lawn and garden material, potted plants, bouquets and roses. Shoppers can also enjoy the “make your own bouquet” feature, with a large selection of options for floral arrangements.
• Prepared Foods Department featuring restaurant-quality cuisine
While shopping, guests can dine at the in-store grill and choose from an assortment of prepared foods and grab-and-go items prepared by ShopRite chefs, along with fresh-made sushi, Boars Head Brand and Black Bear deli products, sandwiches made to order and more than 350 varieties of domestic and international cheeses.
• Expanded Produce Department including locally grown products
The renovated Produce Department now offers an expanded selection of organically grown produce from around the corner and around the world, including a wide variety of organic greens and in-season, locally grown items. New signage will create a more customer-friendly shopping experience, with knowledgeable ShopRite associates available to field any questions shoppers may have.
• Meat Department now equipped with local beef program
ShopRite’s expanded Meat Department features a larger selection of simply sourced products including a new local beef program and extended varieties of USA grass-fed beef. An extended offering of both seasoned and marinated products and new multi-deck meat cases featuring a large variety of No Antibiotics Ever programs in poultry and Omega 3 chicken are also available in the expanded department.
• Larger Seafood Department with private label offerings
The Seafood Department has been improved with a new open European-style, 22-foot Fish-on-Ice seafood case, showcasing 45 varieties of fresh fish including shellfish, oysters, fillets and head fish, delivered seven days per week from ShopRite’s own fishery. The renovated department also will feature ShopRite’s No Antibiotics Ever private label ShopRite raw and cooked shrimp.
• Reinvigorated Health and Beauty Department
Designed with a new “store within a store” concept, the Health and Beauty Department features an increased variety of products and expanded vitamin section that includes the new Nature’s Truth line.
• ShopRite from Home made even easier
The new expanded ShopRite from Home department – which has more than doubled in size – provides more room to fulfill online grocery orders and additional parking spots for people picking up orders at the store. ShopRite from Home customers can also pre-order fresh prepared meals and pick up those meals along with their ShopRite from Home orders.
• Mobile scan
For added convenience, ShopRite will offer Mobile Scan, a free service that allows customers to use the camera on their personal mobile device (iOS or Android) to scan barcodes of items as they shop, along with self-checkout lanes.
