Sherry Bukovcan of Mary Kay celebrates 30 years of success

WARWICK — Warwick resident Sherry Bukovcan is not only the vice president of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, she is also an award-winning senior sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
On Aug. 16, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Bukovcan and her husband, Milosh, to celebrate her 30th anniversary with the company.
Mary Kay has grown to become one of the largest direct sellers of skin care and color cosmetics in the world.
During her 30-year association with Mary Kay products, Bukovcan qualified for 10 car prizes, ranked within the top 10 to 20 in sales for 26 consecutive years, and came in among the top five in some years, earning her numerous awards and prizes.
Bukovcan enjoys her business and strongly feels Mary Kay is more than just selling cosmetics.
“Through my business,” she said, “I have the opportunity to touch women’s lives by offering them flexibility, financial security and a better life.”
Bukovcan and her husband Milosh moved to Warwick 32 years ago. They have two grown sons.
She is one of the pioneers for Mary Kay Cosmetics in Warwick.
“This area was very different 30 years ago,” said Bukovcan. “I sold many of my items to farmers. We had products for men that they liked to use as a protection from the sun while they drove their tractors.”
Bukovcan stressed that Mary Kay has been recognized as a company with the most loyal customers.
“I am grateful for the many opportunities Mary Kay has given me, especially to be able to successfully build my business from home around my family.”
