Shea Gormley dedicates his Eagle Project at Ben Winstanley Park

Greenwood Lake. On Saturday, Aug. 17, Eagle Scout Shea Gormley officially dedicated his Eagle Project at Ben Winstanley Park in the Village of Greenwood Lake.For his project Shea lead a group of volunteers and other Scouts in the design and construction of three park benches.

The benches have been dedicated to the Greenwood Lake Gaelic Cultural Society, Project Children and the Greenwood Lake Soccer Club. Plaques with the organizations names have been affixed to each bench as part of the dedication.

Present for the dedication were Warwick Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Warwick Town Councilman Russell Kowal, Deputy Town Supervisor James Gerstner; Denis Mulcahy, founder of Project Children; Vinny Hallinan, president of the Greenwood Lake Soccer Club; Kathleen Holder, president of the Greenwood Lake Gaelic Cultural Society; and Samuel Gormley.

Also present were Eagle Scout Shea Gormley and Scoutmaster Jason Fox of Troop 477.

Shea is the Son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gormley and he attends Sacred Heart University.

Boy Scout Troop 477 is Chartered by Grace EvangelicalLutheran Church in the village of Greenwood Lake.
