GOSHEN — It’s a long, cold winter in Orange County without a coat to stay warm and dry.
That’s why the Civil Service Employees Association is asking the community to clean out their closets and donate a coat this season.
All types of coats and jackets are needed.
“If you have a men’s, women’s, boy’s or girl’s jacket or coat that you’re not going to use, there’s someone in need who would love to have it,” CSEA Local 836 President Glen Arnold said in a press release. “Someone in need who would love to be warm and dry this winter.”
Every coat or jacket stays in Orange County.
To donate a coat, call 845-343-0172 to arrange drop off at the office or for pick up, or, bring the coat to the Nov. 29 meeting.
Flowers By Lisa, located at 627 County Route 1 in Pine Island, is also accepting coats in a drop box.
The coat drive ends at the end of November.
