The Warwick Valley School District and Albert Wisner Public Library have recently developed a partnership that will allow students in the district access to digital and audio books available from the public library and the entire Ramapo Catskill Library System (RCLS) collection.

The partnership comes just in time for students who are home for the summer with limited access to camps and activities because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“We are excited about this partnership, which means our students will have both easy access to great books and audio files and the ability to select materials from the vast collections offered by Albert Wisner Public Library and RCLS,” said Assistant Superintendent James Yap.

Students won’t even need a library card. They will simply use their school district Google account credentials, launch the SORA app through their Classlink Launchpad and check out e-books and audio files through Albert Wisner Library and RCLS.

The public library has numerous virtual summer reading programs and events that motivate children to read. To learn more, visit the library’s website.

“Easier access to a wider selection from Albert Wisner Library and RCLS is fantastic for all Warwick students,” said Library Director Rosemary Cooper. “Whether your son or daughter is looking to expand their choices or simply get connected to reading this summer, this partnership with the school district will certainly help them grow into lifelong readers.”
