Scenes from 2012: GWL students

The issue of where Greenwood Lake would send its high school-aged students in September 2013 provided high drama throughout the year as the GWL School Board weighed the options of continuing sending students to Tuxedo or allow parents to decide whether to send their children to Warwick, Chester and, belatedly, George Baker High School where they have attended for the last 30 years. Pictured here are Tuxedo students hold their signs at the back door of the Greenwood Lake Elementary School waiting for the school board to meet. Once inside, school board meeting, Dean Stanton, 15, voices his opinion in words and with the clothes on his back. How parents have decided will be known early in 2013.
